Stretching 1,600km south from the American border, Baja California is a land of contrasts from craggy mountains to sandy beaches, cactus-dotted deserts to pristine golf courses, and sleepy villages and bustling tourist resorts. Most visitors head straight to Baja Sur and the Los Cabos Corridor, the 33km stretch which runs between the towns of San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas at the tip of the peninsula.
